2023 Training Conference

The theme for the 2023 Training Conference is Climate Smart Rooted in Conservation and we hope that you are planning to join us at the Lake of the Ozarks this year from November 27th – 29th!  For new board members and employees and seasoned ones too, you will find a lot of opportunities for training and the chance to visit and learn from board members and other district employees from all over the state. 

Registration for the conference is now open. MASWCD is using a new registration software for the conference. You can follow this link to registerThe deadline to pre-register is November 15th at 5:00 p.m.  After that date, registration will be done at the conference with an additional fee charged.

Have you made your hotel reservation yet?  If you haven’t decided if you are attending this year, the hotel has advised us to go ahead and make a reservation now.  Cancellations can be done up to 72 hours ahead of the planned arrival.  Rooms cannot be guaranteed after the hotel cut-off date of October 28, 2023.  Room rates are $99.00 per night plus lodging tax.  This rate also applies to two dates prior to and after the conference if you wish to stay additional nights at your own expense. Sales tax will be exempt if you provide your sales tax-exempt letter upon check-in.  For hotel reservations call Tan-Tar-A at 1-800-826-8272 or go to their website at and use the code word “soil”.

 
This year SWCDs will have the opportunity to pay for pre registration with either credit card, check or through PayPal. If paying by check please send it to MASWCD P.O. Box 105981 Jefferson City, MO 65110. If you decide to pay with a credit card please enter your credit card information on the registration page. If you decide to pay with PayPal please follow the instructions in the registration software.
 
The Missouri Association of Soil and Water Conservation District Employees Association will be selling conference shirts this year. A pre-order form will be sent to the SWCDs in the near future.
